Rob Densen Moderates Communications Panel at Prestigious Business Roundtable Trade Forum
NEW YORK, NY- Rob Densen moderated a panel discussion on public policy communications at a special two-day Business Roundtable workshop, March 31 and April 1, in New York City. Telling the International Engagement Story: A Communications Best Practices Workshop brought together more than 100 leading PR and government affairs practitioners from America’s leading corporations.
Densen’s panel discussion was entitled Communicating Public Policy to External Audiences: Issues and Opportunities. Among the issues discussed were “proactivity” vs. responsiveness, how you create alignment across functions (internal, external, government affairs, CSR, etc.), and reconciling employee, community and customer concerns. Panel participants included Peter O’Toole, Director of Public Relations at GE; Linda Kraftzenk, Strategy Communications Manager at Caterpillar, Inc; and Bryan Simmons, Vice President for Communications at IBM Corporation.
